This policy explains what data we collect on this site, why, and how you can control it. It applies to the signup forms on speaking cap.
Sarah Alami and Rebecca Crown, reachable at hello@speakingcap.com.
When you fill in one of our forms (the top banner or the full signup form), we collect:
This data is used only to keep you updated on Speaking Cap: when pre-orders open, when the online version is ready, and other project news. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Processing is based on your consent, freely given when you fill in the form (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR).
Your data is stored in Zoho CRM, the tool we use to manage our contact list and send you emails. Zoho acts as a data processor under the GDPR.
We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed to our list, and for a maximum of 3 years from your last contact with us (opening an email, clicking a link, or replying), in line with standard EU data protection guidance. After that, your data is deleted or anonymized.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your data. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, write to us at hello@speakingcap.com. We will respond within one month.
You can also file a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr) if you believe your rights are not being respected.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also write to us directly at hello@speakingcap.com to be removed from the list.
The online demo offers an optional dictation button. If you use it, your browser's speech recognition service (for example Google or Apple) processes your voice to turn it into text. Speaking Cap does not receive or store the recording. Only the text you choose to submit reaches us.
This site does not currently use any tracking or analytics cookies. If that changes (for example, if we add an analytics tool), this page will be updated and a consent banner will be added before it is switched on.
